Privacy Notice

Golf Linkup is a member engagement platform provided to golf clubs. Each club's data is held separately and is only visible to that club and its members.

What we hold

Member details supplied by a club, profile information a member chooses to add, and activity within the platform such as games, roll-ups, connections and messages.

How it is used

Information is used to run the platform for the club and its members, including suggesting playing partners and reporting on engagement to club administrators.

Enquiries

Details submitted through the demo enquiry form are used only to respond to that enquiry.

Who is responsible

Your golf club decides how member and community information is used, so the club is the controller for that information. Golf Linkup, operated by LUX Strategy Partners Ltd, acts on the club's instructions as its processor. For platform security records, billing and our own business records, LUX Strategy Partners Ltd is the controller in its own right.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask us to restrict or stop certain uses, object to a particular use, or ask for a portable copy where that applies.

We log every request and reply within one calendar month. If a request is complex we may extend that by up to two further months and will tell you why. Where the request concerns information your club controls, we pass it to the club and support them in responding.

We may need to confirm who you are before we act, so that information is never released to the wrong person.

How to make a request

Email privacy@golflinkup.com with what you would like us to do and the club you belong to. You can also raise it with your club directly. If you are unhappy with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
